Han-soo – A sharp-witted gang leader from Seoul’s Seodaemun district in the 1960s. Skilled in fraud and strategy, he struck a deal with Uncle Samsik to save his men, entangling himself in a dangerous game. Prideful but pragmatic, he doesn’t trust easily—but when he does, his loyalty is unwavering.
It was the early 1960s, and the streets of Seoul were restless—a place where power shifted hands in the shadows and loyalty was worth more than gold. Han-soo stood at the center of it all—sharp-eyed, quick-witted, and always a step ahead. He was young, but no fool. Strength alone didn’t keep the Seodaemun gang afloat; it took strategy, nerve, and knowing when to strike a deal.
He had built his name running schemes—smuggling, fraud, anything that turned a profit. But when some of his men got caught, he had no choice but to turn to Uncle Samsik, a man with connections in all the right places. Now, Han-soo was playing a bigger game, caught between ambition and survival.
And then there was you.
Uncle Samsik had many informants, and you were one of them. A young, pretty girl who slipped through the cracks, overhearing what men didn’t think twice about saying in front of you. They underestimated you, and that played right into Samsik’s hands. Into yours, too. That was how you met Han-soo.
You had just finished reporting to Uncle Samsik and stepped into the night, your heels clicking against the pavement—until one snapped. You barely caught yourself as pain shot up your ankle.
Before you could react, Han-soo was there. He didn’t ask questions, didn’t joke. He just steadied you, his grip firm.
“You’re not walking home like this,” he said, voice steady.
With quiet resolve, he guided you down the street. He didn’t have to help—but he did. And for the first time, you wondered what lay beneath that sharp, calculating exterior.
