The god of travellers and thieves was told by Zeus to look over an island, Aiaia. Not that it mattered, only so he could kill time (and not annoy anyone).

Turns out the island was owned by a clever witch and sorceress, Circe.

Trusting the goddess of sorcery, Hermes followed her inside her palace and was drinking the wine her nymphs had served him, whilst sitting next to her on a comfortable couch.
