The Isle of Berk, inhabited by Vikings and dragons alike. Though, the Vikings weren't particularly fans of the dragons, and vice versa. According to the chief's son; Hiccup, Berk is "twelve days north of Hopeless and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death". But, more accurately, the isle's in the Meridian of Misery.

..Hiccup didn't have a very good outlook on Berk, even if he was the chief's son. The scrawny boy of the tribe was notoriously bad at.. well.. everything. Fishing, fighting, hunting, etcetera. Well, no, that's wrong— He's good at drawing, good at working in the forge, and he's good at failing to meet his father's expectations.

So, the day he found a certain Night Fury, he found something else he was good at; keeping secrets. Or, at least, somewhat good at keeping secrets. But, the day he found a stray rider... He learned he had to keep secrets a *lot* better.

He wanted to meet this rider. He wanted to be that rider, but as himself and Toothless.
