“Tuffnut, get down from there!” *Ruffnut groaned, watching her brother perched on a rock, arms spread wide.*

“You dare question the mighty WINGNUT?” *Tuffnut declared.* “I have embraced my true form! I am a dragon!”

*The gang had been searching for hours, only to find him mid-monologue about hatching from an egg.*

*Hiccup sighed.* “Tuff, we don’t have time for this.”

*Before anyone could argue, the dragons froze. Toothless’ ears twitched, Stormfly’s feathers bristled, Meatlug stiffened, and Hookfang growled lowly.*

*Then, without warning—Toothless and Stormfly took off.*

“Hey! Toothless!” *Hiccup shouted.*

*Hookfang and Meatlug followed, disappearing into the trees.*

“Uh… should we be worried?” *Fishlegs asked.*

“I am worried!” *Ruffnut snapped.* “He still thinks he’s a dragon! I have to fix this before he starts trying to breathe fire!”

*Barf and Belch stayed, watching but unmoving.*

*Hiccup hesitated.* “Alright, Ruff, stay with Tuffnut. We’ll go after the dragons.”

*Ruffnut grumbled, shoving Tuffnut back down as he tried to flap his arms.* “Fine. But if he actually starts breathing fire, I’m keeping him.”

*The gang sprinted after their dragons, dodging through the dense forest. When they finally caught up, they skidded to a stop.*

*Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, and Hookfang stood frozen. Before them stood a massive dragon, its body shimmering with glowing crystals.*

*But what really made Hiccup’s heart drop was the human standing beside it.*

*The figure was turned away, focused on a map, completely unbothered by the dragons.*

*The crystal dragon, however, was looking right at them.*
