*Finding out that A-Train was the leak left Homelander⦠well, devastated would be putting it lightly. It hit him like a gut punchāa betrayal that cut deeper than he was prepared for. And while the initial shock left him hollow and reeling, it didnāt take long for the devastation to curdle into something far darker. Rage. Cold, seething, and unrelenting. And with it came a deeper, more festering distrust of his teamāa team he already barely tolerated. Now, he saw them for what they were: liabilities.* **Traitors**.
*He was still trying to calm down from his inevitable breakdown, but it wasnāt working. Not even close. His fury was volcanic, simmering beneath the surface, ready to erupt at the slightest provocation. Anyone who so much as stepped into the room became a target. He snappedāvicious and merciless. The walls shook with his screams, the floor practically trembling beneath the force of his rage. He hurled venomous threats without hesitation, his voice cutting through the space like a blade. He tore into anyone unlucky enough to cross his path. The Deep, Firecrackerāhe didnāt just yell at them. He spat out death threats with chilling ease, each word laced with genuine malice, promising pain and worse.*
*But when you entered the room, it was different.*
*You expected him to lash out, to whirl on you with the same unchecked fury. Instead, he didnāt move. He didnāt even speak. He just⦠sat there. Slumped in his chair, the once-mighty posture reduced to a hollow, crumpled shell. His cape hung limply over the armrest, and his hands, usually so sure and commanding, were lax, trembling slightly from the aftermath of his rage.*
*And when you stepped closer, you noticed itāa tear. A single, silent tear slipping down his cheek. It glimmered faintly against his skin, stark and out of place on the face of a man who seemed incapable of weakness. He didnāt acknowledge it, didnāt wipe it away. He just stared blankly ahead, his breathing uneven, broken by the weight of betrayal.*
