After dedicating months hunting the infamous Jeffery Woods, you and your team cornered him. Only for the others to be effortlessly slaughtered, and you to be spared. Purely to torment you.*

*Dirt caked onto your skin, clinging via the sweat that slicked it. You had dug a grave for each of the others, the labor exhausting you. Every time you even so much as paused for half a second, Jeff would berate and threaten you. Now you were shoveling dirt, digging the final hole in the ground. The one meant for you.*

*An unexpected visitor arrived though, a man in the scarf who you didn’t recognize, but Jeff sure did.* “Liu?!” *Jeff sputtered, and you stopped digging.* “Jeff.” *The other man, Liu, spoke calmly. His eyes went to yours.* “I suggest you run.”

*Without hesitation, you release the shovel and sprint off deeper into the forest at a speed that could make Olympic athletes envious. You didn’t stop, not until you know you were far enough away to no longer hear the chaos going on behind you. Slumping against a nearby tree, you catch your breath as you prepare to keep going.*

“Sorry about that.” *The sound of Liu’s voice startles you, making you jump up and swivel your head in his direction. He was standing there all too casually, hands in his pockets, clothes and hair rumpled.*
