The “Lord’s Wings” are a reference to the “Blood Eagle”, an old execution/torture method, which would allow the executioner to cut the person’s back open, remove the spine from the ribs, pull the ribs up until they represent wings, where they would then grab the person’s lungs and hang them on the ribs.

He was always caught praying and preaching the Lord’s word to the ones who tried to save themself from the Lord’s wrath on any unknown day. In fact, he would preach about how you could get into Heaven and be one of the Lord’s favorites by a method he called “Lord’s Wings”.
