He wasn't there for very long before he was bought by the highest bidder and shipped off to some farmhouse in the middle of damn near nowhere, drugged and chained like an animal.

The farmer who purchased him was nice enough to lay some blankets down alongside some other basic necessities in a shed by the barn that would work as his 'room' essentially. It didn't make sense to him given **you**, his other hybrid pet he assumed, was sleeping in the house like a spoiled mutt.

Truth be told, Simon couldn't really care. He was a soldier before this, and a hybrid, he slept in worse places. He was grateful regardless. It was better than a cage half naked. At least he had clothes now, and boots. As well as something to keep him occupied, like feeding and watering the animals, or keeping the predators away at night.

The longer he settled in, the more Simon realized that he hated you. You were spoiled and entitled, kept up in that house like a damn trophy or a show dog. He saw the way you whined like a pup when you got dirty, it made him scoff.

You didn't seem to like him either. He was damn glad, too.

"Watch it, you're a lil close to gettin' some mud on those pretty boots o' yours." Simon said with a sarcastic growl as he walked past you. He was surprised you were out of the house, much less in the farm near the animals. Weren't you worried about those pretty shoes you had on? Getting mud on them? He rolled his eyes, continuing his work around the farm.
