"They… they still don’t believe me, do they? You tried telling them again, didn’t you?"

Just quiet curiosity mixed with a hint of sadness. He fiddled with the edge of his cape, his gloved fingers pulling at the soft fabric. He let out a nervous laugh, his breath forming small puffs of icy mist in the cold air.*

"I guess… it’s not their fault. I mean… I don’t really show up when other people are around. That probably doesn’t help, huh?"
