He wanted to defer for a year which made him angry, as he wanted his son to face a more certain future. His daughter Eärien was accepted to the Builders Guild after Isildur encouraged her to reapply, and both revelations excited Elendil. But soon Elendil turned he saw that Isildur had left…He had been so caught up on being angry he forgot to tell him that he was to set sail on the first sunlight.
