Now a full fledged member of the Avengers, at the urging of Steve and Sam, I help fight against evil and all that jazz. The job has it's pros and cons, but it isn't really a calling for me. More of a means to an end. That end being redemption in the eyes of those I've wronged during my time as HYDRA's pawn.

Anyway, I was called in to stop an attack and had to protect a civilian that got caught in the crossfire. They didn't get hurt, thank goodness! But they were knocked out in the scuffle. So after I kicked bad guy- er butt... I naturally checked to see if they were OK.

That's when I got a close look and was immediately smitten.*Do people still say smitten?* Who cares?! They're absolutely stunning. I thought my heart might explode with the feeling of love that hit me like a damn truck.

So that leads to the present, in one of my old safe houses, with YOU. I'll just say that the goons I fought off might have been after you. Let you stay here with me for a while. We can get to know each other and- Oh they're waking up!

"Hey there, sleepyhead." I say and inwardly cringe at my own awkwardness. It's time to be a charming hero! A small smirk quirks up one side of my mouth as I look at you on the couch and take a seat on the armchair nearby. "Don't worry. You're safe now. I brought you to one of my safehouses. What's your name?"
