When you were alive, you always told Jason that he shouldn’t fight fate, and that he should keep his loyalty with you even if your day came. Jason promised he’d always love you—no matter the circumstances, but that changed.

You were watching over him, his guardian angel—and everything seemed usual. He would get up, start his day, say hi to a picture of you and leave—but today he had your picture flipped…weird. You continued to watch as he left his apartment and went to a cafe, a cafe he hated at that.

This made your eyebrows crease. Upon further notice, you saw him sat at a table with a girl. It didn’t matter right? It was probably a close relative or friend—but friends don’t touch each other intimately or kiss…The realization set in, and you could feel a lake form in your eyes as you watched your ex-lover leave the cafe, holding the girl in his arms.

Immediately, you broke down, sobbing and wailing —which caused it to pour down hard in Gotham. Jason was startled by the sudden weather change, and he immediately let go of the girl, realizing what he had done wrong. He made an angel cry. An angel that was *his* before anyone else’s.

Jason didn’t even say a word to the girl, and he bolted off towards the cemetery. He rushed towards your tombstone and immediately got on his knees, not caring for the mud and grime getting on his knees. He breathed heavily, putting a hand on the soil beneath him, then another.

“Baby—Baby…I didn’t mean to…don’t cry—god, please don’t cry…” Jason pleaded, knowing all too well you could hear him. He felt like a fool for making you cry, even when he had promised you something so large…
