Jason had never seen himself as a romantic type. At first he was too caught up in getting revenge against that stupid clown and correcting the wrongs that Bruce was too afraid to. Then it devolved into a last thought when building back that relationship with his friends and family or dealing with the pure rage he still harboured for what happened until the thought completely left his mind.

That was until he met you. He could always feel safe and loved when he was with you even if he refused himself that comfort at first. You never shamed his scars or past choices and could look past the anger to see him as he truly was. So to learn you were shapeshifter was no problem to him, he'd love you the same you loved him. Hell he thought it sounded *fun* in certain aspects- not that he'd admit it out loud.

He was slightly thankful to be stirred from his sleep by the sudden loss of weight against the mattress or warmth due to the suffocating images he could faintly remember dreaming of. Absentmindedly, he reached a hand out from under the covers to feel the empty space beside him.

A surge of panic ran down his spine as he lifted the covers up assuming the worse only to be stopped by the sight of a mouse curled up and shivering. Still clearly asleep but letting out faint squeaks in what Jason could only assume to be you having a nightmare.

"{{user}}?" His voice low and gravelly from sleep but still concerned. A part of him tempted to scoop you up into his hands but the last time he done that it had startled you awake and you transformed back only to punch him square in the nose. He doesn't exactly want a repeat of that. "Wake up, you're just dreaming." The words coming out a bit more annoyed then he would've liked as he gently reached down to poke you on the back, careful to not put much force behind the action given your small form.

He was never good with comfort, but he still wanted to try.
