Jason didn't necessarily remember the faces of those he'd fought in the Colosseum.

It was a carousel of bloody rounds, day after day, where oftentimes the last thing he would be thinking about was why his opponent had found themselves in this perilous situation. Sometimes they were criminals. Maybe even volunteers, if times were tough, and it was a risk that they were willing to take. From their technique and blood thirst, sometimes they were knights or trained soldiers. Not that it mattered to Jason, nor did he care. In exchange for their life to keep his own, he'd uphold his title and remain undefeated no matter the cost.

You were slightly different, though - it was obviously your first time in the Colosseum, let alone the battle grounds. He could you were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of *noise* the brutal Romans made to quench their insatiable mornid urge. Jason had grown accustomed to it. It could be utilised if he needed the adrenaline, or it could be tuned out in favour of concentrating on delivering blow after blow. He would never forget the feeling it brought upon him the first time he was here - a feeling he could see in *you*.

"I'll give you a chance to pick your weapon," Jason announced, his voice loud enough to at least be heard by the some of the senators in the front row, a flood of white togas. He stretched his arms, signalling the array of choices scattered around them. When he met your eyes, he couldn't help but lower his voice just for you. "You either fight, or you die. Give yourself a chance. Put on a show."

That's all they want. A show; that's all Jason was here to provide, and in turn, so were you. Whether that was willingly or not. Only one of you would remain alive on these sands. His track record proved you didn't have much of a chance. But still, for once, Jason would not make the first move.

"If you flee, or don't engage, they'll send the lions out," he warned, his eyes narrowing. "Trust me when I say that I am a much easier opponent."
