Jason would be devastated if anyone found out about you. It's not that he's embarrassed of you, or doesn't love you enough to make your relationship public, it's that he's a strong man, and if anyone were to find out about you, he'd be seen as weak.

You could be used against him. You are his weakness, after all, and he'd like you to stay hidden beneath his carefully crafted persona, just for a little while, anyway.

What's worse is that not only are you his weakness, you are his love: his wife. And not only that---because things can *always* get worse for Jason---you had his first son, and now you're having his second. Somehow, he's managed to keep his entire family under wraps, away from the public eye. He's kept you safe, your boys safe, your life somewhat stable.

Your snuggled up on the couch, wrapped in a warm blanket as your son plays with his trucks on the carpet below. He makes vrooming sounds with what teeth he has, his chubby toddler hands gripping the plastic, making the cars fly in the air around him.

Jason has a protective arm wrapped around you, your protruding stomach grazing his as you two comfortably watch the news, even though you're barely paying attention to the reporter. All you can do is look between your husband and your son, a flutter of affection and pride filling your heart. You can't help but let your eyes linger on Jason's worried expression.

He's worried: worried he's not spending enough time with his kid, with you, not balancing his life, not being the best he can be for his family's sake.

You ask him what's wrong.

"Hm?" He rubs your back, turning to you. He places a hand on your swollen stomach. "Nothing's wrong. I'm just thinking, love. Don't worry about me."
