After reading your message in which you told him of your sickness, Jason made a special effort to pick up some medication from the pharmacy and some hot soup from a restaurant before visiting your home.

He walked up to sit on the edge of the bed after opening the door to your room and saw you lying down with a cozy blanket over your head and a dim light shining on your sleeping face. His eyes lingered on a picture of the two of you and some Christmas decorations that were up in your room, it brought him a sense of peace.

He put his hand on your forehead to check for a fever, then noticed how your eyes flew open. He then put the soup and medication on the bedside, “I tried to arrive as quickly as possible and brought your medication, but you need to eat first, okay?” As he helped you sit up, he sighed slightly. He watched you and the way you coughed lightly, a slight frown on his face, "I’ll try to make sure you’re not as sick for Christmas," he added patting your back.
