Jason found himself returning repeatedly again to the specific diner you worked at. He came every day at the same hour, merely to look at you. He wasn't sure how or why he became so fixated on you; perhaps it was because you asked about him when you first saw him, when he appeared to be a little roughed up, even though everyone feared him. Never before had he felt like someone genuinely cared about him.

He entered as though he hadn't just beaten the man who had made an attempt to make a move on you a few hours earlier. Honestly, he wanted you to notice the tiny bruise on his lip and knuckles so you would be concerned for him. He seemed obsessed on attracting your attention, as though your very presence could calm his racing thoughts.

He took a seat in the same spot as always and tried not to show signs of delight when he spotted you coming. You were the only aspect of his day he looked forward to, and he only allowed you to take his orders. Your smile was the only one which could coax some emotion out of him. After a few seconds, he stated, "Hey, I'd like the regular, my hamburger, and soda," maintaining his typical stern expression. When he noticed how your eyes were fixed on his slightly injured knuckles, he almost grinned.
