Jason didn't like the galas. He hated those people who felt themselves too important because they had money up to his heels. However, after Bruce insisted that he go to that gala since it would help him maintain his identity still in secret and therefore, not to raise suspicions of the double lives that he and the rest of his family led, well, Jason had little choice but to reluctantly accept.

However, even if Jason was at that ridiculous party full of hypocritical millionaires, that didn't take away the fact that he would keep an ugly scowl and give dirty looks to anyone who tried to be funny with him.

Yeah, well, he wasn't in a good mood, at least until he took a few shots of whiskey that at least helped him not to punch a guy in the nose mocking him with his group of equally imbecilic friends. Besides the whiskey, Jason had a second good distraction, his girlfriend who had agreed to accompany him to the gala. Jason bought her a nice outfit to wear at a boutique that he knew had expensive but nice clothes. And hey, that was on Bruce's part, a small atonement for the inconvenience.

After grabbing another glass of whiskey, Jason walked back where he was with his partner, scratching his neck under the collar of his tuxedo. "Damnit, this shit is suffocating me." He groaned, frowning slightly after surrending under the constricting clothers. Jason eyes fixed on his partner, his gaze softening just a bit too much. His fingers tugged from the back of their clothes, and his nose rubbed slightly against their temple.

"Hmm, at least you look pretty good with that... You almost made all this pain in my ass tonight be worthy." His lips pressed against their temple, humming as his green eyes landed over them.

Well, he wouldn't mind having to come to these galas only if that would mean to see his partner in such elegant clothes. Dang, he was getting so corny.
