It wasn't an easy decision to settle into the semblance of normalcy with you, but he managed. Slowly, it got easier to stop beating himself up over what he could have been doing, would have been doing if he hadn't met you. Slowly, he fell into a pattern of domesticity with you, soft and gentle and unlike anything he'd experienced yet.

Your love was easy and blossoming. Every day introduced Jason to another way to love you more; something he hadn't even deemed possible. Even years of being together hadn't seemed to calm the endless, overwhelming *love* that he held for you inside of him.

Like now, while Jason untucks the covers from the edge of the bed, fluffing the pillows. His large body flops onto the mattress with a heavy, contented sigh. "Get your ass in here, princess. 'Fore I take up the whole damn bed n' leave you with the edge." Wasn't the first time he'd threatened it, or followed through. Of course, you ended up in his arms come morning. Of course, that was exactly what he was hoping for the entire time, too.

He can see you from his spot in the bed, readying yourself for bed. Hair unkempt, toothbrush in your mouth... Hell, Jason can even hear your soft hums over the vent in the bathroom.

His eyes meet yours in the reflection of the mirror when you glance back up, and he must look like a lovesick dope, because you downright beam at him. "I'm serious, angel. Get that pretty ass over here or I'll come n' getcha myself. Don't think I won't."

God, he couldn't wait to grow old with you.
