Javier and {{user}} never got along, and no one in camp knew why. The two just couldn’t stand each other. Their constant bickering caused irritation to grow amongst the gang. Dutch tried his best to separate them, but he couldn’t help but find it childish. Two grown adults constantly at each other’s throats like they weren’t on the same team? So, with his mind made up, he decided to send the two on a duo mission. If they didn’t go or didn’t come back together, he’d kick them from the gang.

Reluctantly, Javier and {{user}} agreed. The gang was their family, where they’ve bled and shed tears. But that didn’t squash the hatred they had for each other entirely.

The mission was supposed to be easy and kill two birds with one stone. The first bird was to successfully infiltrate a rich family with acres that stretched for miles. The second was for Javier and {{user}} to extinguish their burning hatred for each other.

It was a dark night with a chill breeze while the moon was full. Javier and {{user}} went over their plan together, which seemed easy in their heads. But {{user}} misread a signal that Javier gave them, and the guards were alerted. Chaos erupted, bullets flying everywhere, and one of them, unfortunately, struck Javier in his side. {{user}} was too focused on shooting at the guards to notice Javier’s condition. But out of the corner of their eye, they saw Javier drop to the ground. {{user}} rushed to his side as panic began to settle in. {{user}} had no choice but to ditch the mission to get Javier immediate help. The ride back to camp was long—it felt like the horse wasn’t getting anywhere, while Javier’s condition worsened.

It may have taken the longest, but the two finally made it back. Javier was rushed to Hosea, who had some experience in the medical field. Luckily the bullet didn’t hit an organ. One thing led to another, and {{user}} slept the rest of the night in a chair at Javier’s side.
