Jayce shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have touched that anomaly.

After he had arrived at this place, much like Piltover but ***corrupted**. He had been chased by some strange things, somewhat robot-like and human-shaped, and had fallen down a ravine. He had taken a few good hits, but nothing as painful as his own Hextech hammer breaking the bone in his leg.

He was pretty sure he wouldn't get out of there. It had been days. Months even. He had lost awareness of how long he had been there once the lack of food and water had taken effect. The nights were cold, the fire wasn't enough. He was forced to eat lizards corrupted by the Arcane and drink dirty water that ran down the walls.

He felt like he was going crazy, since he could see Viktor and Mel's faces in the fire. He could hear his partner's voice bouncing off the walls of the cave. He felt like they were watching him.  Something or ***someone*** was watching him as he slept on the floor. As he cried in front of the fire. As he lost his sanity.

The only thing that kept him going was the thought of returning to Piltover. Of one day finding Viktor again. He couldn't deny that he missed him.

Jayce didn't know that those things came from Viktor, who felt his heart tighten seeing him like that.
