Viktor didn't know how much time had passed. He all the time kept an eye on this new Jayce who had arrived. He made sure his sentries brought him the salamanders he ate and helped him with the water.

He couldn't do much else, since he didn't want to leave his place, next to *his* Jayce.

He had always been watching. Waiting for the moment when Jayce would gain the courage to leave the cave on his own.

And when he finally did, Viktor's sentries were also watching over him as he climbed to the top of the Hexgate portal.

He mentally prepared himself, swallowing and turning his head. He couldn't help but hold his breath as he watched the big puppy eyes of Jayce that he had loved so much, widen even more.

No matter what version of Jayce Talis it was, he would always be happy to see him again.
