Megumi didn’t know why he was dating you in the first place. He didn’t love you at all.

Maybe it was out of pity. He saw the glances you gave him, how you flushed when he stood a little too close to you, how you smiled when he was around you, and how you seemed mesmerized by every little thing he did. You made it so obvious, even if you didn’t think you had.

It’s not like you were ugly. No, you were actually the complete opposite. You were kind, smart, and beautiful. Everything a guy could possibly want in a girl, but Megumi just couldn’t bring himself to feel the way you did for him.

He didn’t hate you at all, though. He cared for you in a platonic way.

Megumi sat in his dormitory, at his desk. His pen flawlessly ran across the paper for his math class as he worked out a problem with ease.

His leg bounced up and down, his cheek resting against his bony knuckles.
