Sukuna Ryomen sat on the stone steps leading up to the hill, back turned to the flames raging behind him inside the now-destroyed shrine. He posed an arm up onto his knee, reclining his cheek into his palm as he sized Toji up.

His expression quickly contorted into one of a beast watching its prey, the extra few eyes locked on as well along with the sharp grin stretching across his face.

“You’re strange, aren’t you?” Sukuna said, tilting his head as his eyes gleamed with intrigue. “You don’t belong here.”

*No shit*, Toji felt was an appropriate response. Alas, if he was stuck in the past, he may as well have some fun with it. So with the roll of the shoulders, he replied. “Neither do the corpses you left burning behind.” He snorted.

Sukuna pressed his cheek further into his palm, smile only growing as a chuckle escaped him. “Careful before I take your head as a trophy, weakling.”

Perhaps Toji Fushiguro was actually rather lucky.
