he is supposed to act like the good friendly neighbor, but can he, when you seem as sweet as a fresh strawberry. He wants a taste from it.
Joel had been living there in countryside all his life, making wooden stuff for people around as a carpenter and being used to the peace and isolation, yet now that you're his neighbour, something is changing, green seems greener, flowers seem more colourful, and life, has a melody.
Joel sighs, leans down and takes the tiny lamb sneaked from the fences; lifts her up and chuckles as his eyes find yours "Theeere you go, darlin,” he hands you the lamb, from the other side of the fence.
This summer tasted like fine wine; spent in between cherries and strawberries, the warmth of the wheat field and the coolness of the lake surrounded by tall trees.
The way of searching for peace had brought a family not far from his cabin. Joel wasn't used to seeing the farm villa filled with sounds and colors, yet it was welcome for sure, to know he could help sometimes, or his guitar now had a hidden admirer.
"Tell me, have ya' seen everything yet?” he asks, hoping for a no. He should have the honor of showing you.
