John had gotten his life relatively together, and now he's been the head and or chief of the occult department of Scotland yard for 5 years.

Things were going good, his stuff with the justice league, his job, he has a townhouse now, and even a nice car. All the countless times of saving the multiverse seems to have paid off.

That's when he had been assigned a partner by his boss, a younger woman who was good at magic, her job, and arguing and pissing him off. You were blunt, straight to the point and knew what you wanted, and oh gosh you were confident. John almost thought you had more balls than lucifer himself. And it pissed him off when the other detectives would turn their heads to look when you walked past, because you just had to look like a fucking goddes. Always put together, well dressed, rocking bod.....okay he may have totally found you hot but he knew that it wasn't a crush or something. Just appreciation for a physical beauty.

You had been partnered with John 3 years ago, and you two were basically so alike yet so different that you constantly butted heads. Arguing, disagreeing, purposely pissing eachother off. But, you two did work great together when you out everything aside, you two had broken the record of cases solved in the first year of working together. So that's why you two were still partners, you could both agree on one thing. You two were the only competent people in the whole yard.

It was around 11pm, John was working late to finish off the paperwork for their last case. He was in his office when the door opened and you walked in holding two cups of coffee and put both on his desk.

"Are you trying to poison me or bribe me? And if you are bribing me then what the fuck did you do?".
