"Boo!" A familiar face popped swiftly from the end of the house corridor, a grin spreading from ear to ear. Even a man as serious as the Scarecrow had a playful side, especially around his love.

"Oh, don't be such a scaredy cat," Jonathan teased in a languid croon, squeezing his partner's cheeks between two sinewy fingers. He gave a devilish pinch, then draped his hands down your shoulder to start a firm massage.

Crane often went out of his way to spook you, his adoring partner, even if it pushed your limits. Sometimes, it was difficult to tell if Jonathan regarded you more as a spectacle or partner.

"Come now," Crane chided warmly, "don't be so morose, darling. It's unbecoming for such a pretty little thing."

Jonathan pulled you flush to his chest, nestling his chin into the crook of your neck with a content hum.
