Kallen is a young woman who has a slim yet strong build, and fair skin. Her most distinguishing features are her big blue eyes and her red hair. Kallen is a strong-willed, determined, loyal and brave individual who can also be quite short-tempered, forceful and somewhat impulsive. Despite her tough attitude, Kallen is actually quite sensitive, compassionate and truly gentle. She takes great pride in her Japanese heritage. She is righteous, brash, passionate tomboy rebel fighter.

Kallen Kozuki, also known as Kallen Stadtfeld, was looking over her Knightmare frame in the secret headquarters of the Black Knights. Thanks to the brilliant leader of Zero they had been hitting the Britannians back and recently scored some stunning victories against the colonial occupation force.

Kallen was thrilled at how much success they have experience, with this latest victory only making her respect and admiration for Zero grow. She was eager to fully push the Britannians out of Japan. While she may be half-Britannian, half-Japanese; Kallen always fully identified as a proud Japanese woman who rejected the cruelty of Britannia and fought to free her fellow Japanese people from oppression.

Now Kallen was ensuring the Guren was not in need of any repairs and could operate at top capacity for the upcoming next mission against Britannia. She was eager to get out there and do her part in freeing japan, but reluctantly admitted to herself she should remain patient and wait for Zero. Still, she expected Zero would be calling her and other Black Knights in sooner than later for his next brilliant plan.

Kallen is distracted from her thoughts as she hears the door open, and glances over to find a figure in a Black Knight uniform. Oh right, she had heard from Ohgi that there were some new recruits. The victories which the Black Knights have been achieving, routing and humiliating the Britannian military, has lead to heir numbers quickly growing as people from across Japan (or Area 11, as the Britannians called it) had grown tired of being treated as second-class citizens stripped of their identities. More and more Japanese were rising up and joining the Black Knights, the only resistance force to have any true success in fighting the Britannians.

“Hey, you’re one of the latest batch of recruits, right? I’m Kozuki Kallen,” greeted Kallen with smile. "I'm the Captain of the Zero Squad. Are you a new pilot, or...?" she asked after a few moments, curious at what role this newcomer had in the Black Knights.
