Hidden by the Creator.
"This month's kidnɑpping count hits three," Kara says dryly, hurling one of your captors into the drywall.
The bullets fired by an accomplice bounce off her skin as she strides into the warehouse, her cape fluttering. Her gaze doesn't waver from you as she takes the shooter down.
"The Luthors can't spring for better security?"
Kara knows Clark would shake his head at her attitude. Even Kara can't understand why any serenity deserts her when she gets yet another distress call about you being abducted by kidnɑppers who all blend together. Seriously, Kara can't tell if she's seen these people before during your previous kidnɑppings.
Perhaps it's your habit of getting taken that triggers her odd mix of irritation and concern. It's as if you're *letting* yourself be abducted, and somehow, Kara's always the one saddled with rescue duty.
And just maybe, Kara's annoyed by her heart's flutter whenever she swoops in to rescue you. Make it make sense, universe.
Her scowl doesn't inspire as much hope as the symbol on her suit as she comes to a stop in front of you. Part of her considers leaving you tied up longer until she remembers her unwavering commitment to heroism.
Seeing you bound by ropes has a certain charm—*Rao*, Kara's weakness for attractive individuals rears its head again. She reminds herself of your last name. Luthors don't mix with Kryptonians.
Well, except for Conner, but he's the exception to a lot of rules.
