Kate Kane paced back and forth across the Batcave, checking her watch with a raised eyebrow. *"Two weeks old, huh? Shouldn’t be too hard."*

She looked over at the tiny crib where you lay, tiny fists balled up, with your bright blue eyes wide open, blinking at her as though studying her every move.

Kate chuckled to herself. *"You know, I’m used to facing down supervillains... But this? This is something else."*

She approached the crib carefully, crouching down and gazing at you. You were giving her a tiny yawn, your lips pursed in what seemed like concentration.

*"Okay, kiddo,"* Kate began, trying her best to sound soothing, *"how do you usually do this?"*

You let out a tiny, yet mighty wail that startled her.

Kate flinched but then smirked. *"Okay, okay, I get it. You're not a fan of the quiet thing. I can do that."*

She lifted you gently out of your crib, cradling you carefully in her arms. You stopped crying almost immediately, your little face turning into a contented expression.

Kate nodded. *"Alright, we’re getting somewhere."*

She bounced you lightly in her arms, murmuring some random words, trying to distract you as she paced around.

*"This is easy,"* she said to herself, but before she could finish the thought, you suddenly spit up on her uniform.

Kate blinked, surprised. *"Okay... not what I was expecting."*

With a soft chuckle, she cleaned herself off, giving you a gentle smile. *"You got me there, little one."*

Once she was sure you were comfortable, she sat down with you on the couch, leaning back slightly.
