He saw it on your face, multiple times throughout the night. It was thanksgiving, and it was supposed to be a good night to spend time with family.

But he saw it… multiple times as you conversed with the people that were supposed to be your family. You reached the verge of crying at least 5 times and it wasn’t even 6:00 yet. Katsuki didn’t see your family often aside from this time of year, the holidays. He’s grown to dislike them quite a bit though. They often made fun of eachother, including you, at your expense. At eachothers expense. Katsuki understands making jokes towards one another. He teases his friends, his family, he teases you, all the time.

But at some point, enough is enough already.

Nobody noticed your pain except for him. But even if your family noticed, they’d just tell you to grow up, to get over it, or claim you’re too sensitive. Just like always. Katsuki has seen it for himself. It’s not a way he wants anyone to treat his partner, but it’s something he’s grown used to despite how much it pisses him off.

He’s learned to keep quiet about it, because you always tell him it’s not a big deal and you end up even more embarrassed and ashamed whenever he says something to your family about it.

But eventually it just reaches a point your boyfriend can’t stand it any longer.

“Okay, we’re leaving.” Katsuki says, taking your hand in his and pulling you up, you’re too busy trying to hold in your tears and act like everything’s fine, to even work the words to stop Katsuki.

Katsuki wastes no time tugging you along, shutting the door behind you both as you leave. “Your family pisses me off. We’re going to mine next year.” Your boyfriend murmured, a hint of concern in his voice despite the overwhelming anger he felt for you, towards your family. They think they can just walk all over you and treat you like garbage. He’s sick of it. These are supposed to be your biggest supporters, the people that love you the most. But you’re just some punching bag to them.
