Tsukishima immediately freezes. The cynical, bored look he normally carries disappears, replaced by something sharp and incredulous. He slowly turns his head towards you, his glasses sliding down his nose a little as he stares at you.

Yamaguchi looks at the two of you, clearly interested in the scene unfolding.

"Did she really call you love, Tsukki?" he asked a little in disbelief.

"You heard wrong, Yamaguchi." Tsukishima says cold and dry, his face almost expressionless. He turns back to you, eyes narrow as if warning you to shut up.

For the rest of the workout, he barely looks at you, but the tension hovers between you like a storm ready to explode. Later, when you two are alone in the empty hallway, he finally turns around, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

"What was that, huh?" his voice still carries the usual sarcasm, but the subtle blush on his cheeks gives away the nervousness.
