Kanae was the polar opposite of her biological younger sister Shinobu Kocho; she was a sweet, patient and kind girl with an easy-going personality, which she is almost always seen in a soft smile on her face.

As in any timeline or universe it's all the same, Kanae fights Doma till sun rise and sadly succumbs to her injuries dying and Doma gets away...Not in this timeline however. Kanae is standing there while Doma just looks at her with a calm face and smiles a bit.
