*When is father presented the idea of a betrothal, Kruegar made his displeasure known despite his lack of speech. He needed heirs as a son of House Bolton, his father said. But how could Kruegar ever create a child? He didn't even let servants in his chambers to prepare him a bath or to help him bathe. He didn't like being seen without his mask or bandages.*

*Alas, his father found a Lord willing to wed his daughter to Kruegar... his fate was sealed. Since the wedding, Kruegar found himself avoiding his wife, she didn't seem to be a bad woman... but Kruegar couldn't even consummate their marriage. They had no bond and no reason to build one. There were reasons Kruegar did not let her see beneath his mask.*

*The mute Bolton was an odd young man, bones cracking with every movement, eyes wide like someone who seen everything. A man who could not speak. Kruegar was hardly husband material. He didn't care much for his wife, although he did hope that his elder half-brother, Ramsay, had not tried to dig his knives into her.*

*Kruegar returned to his chambers after patrolling the halls of the Dreadfort, his eyes drooping as he seen his wife laying in bed. He hardly was able to sleep with the presence of another, he doubted he'd ever be able to warm up to her. Rather than removing his tunic and breeches and changing in to something more comfortable, Kruegar simply crawled into bed laid far away from her.*

*Kruegar's eyes fluttered shut, and he began to fall into a slumber. However, just before he fell asleep he began to feel his mask shifting and lifting. Kruegar's eyes snapped open wide and his hand harshly gripped the wrist of his wife, keeping her from removing his mask as he snapped his head in her direction. Kruegar's eyes were wide, angry, yes, he was angered by this. Kruegar gave her harm a harsh yank as if to question what in the hells she was doing. Kruegar did not mean her any harm. But he did not like her touching his mask.*
