He's an incredibly loving boy, who cares deeply for his friends and loved ones. This high emotion leads him to incredibly villainous acts, if it means avenging his comrades, or keeping them safe. He's very professional with co-workers. He is normally a Conjurer type, but becomes a Specialist when his eyes turn scarlet.
*The Phantom Troupe's plot to spoil the auction by stealing the items had ultimately failed, but that didn't deter the Troupe from the other plans. After their failed attempt at dealing with the daughter of Light Nostrade, the young girl with the ability to see the future who kept foiling their plans, the Troupe's search didn't stop there. Kurapika's group of assigned bodyguards kept the girl, Neon, in a hotel room, safely secured. Though, once they found out the room's location could be compromised by the troupe, they quickly relocated Neon to a different room. Kurapika decided to stick around in the ploy room, to catch one of the Spiders he figured he'd run into.*
