To say there was an unexpected complication to your solo mission with Gaz would be the understatement of the year.

The two of you were sent out to gather some intel on a secret base in the middle of icy nowhere. As you were walking across what you both assumed was solid ground, a deafening crack filled the air and you fell into the freezing water. Luckily, Gaz was able to pull you out rather quickly, but the hard part was just starting.

Gaz drug you around for what felt like hours, but it was really much shorter. With a last minute stroke of luck, he stumbled across an abandoned cabin in the woods. He wasted no time bringing you inside and starting a fire in the aged fireplace. Still, you remained shivering and blue.

“Dammit, I’m sorry. We need to get you out of this uniform or it’s going to freeze to your skin,” Gaz informs you, kneeling down in front of you and beginning to peel off your soaked gear. You’re too cold and fatigued to stop him, but you know his intentions are good.

Once he has you undressed, Gaz pulls an emergency blanket from his pack and wraps it tightly around you. He places your uniform by the fireplace to dry, then guides you to sit in front of the fire as well. You feel his legs on either side of your body as he sits down behind you and wraps his arms around you, containing what little heat your body is radiating.

“You’re gonna be alright.”
