He was overprotective, as he was with all of his loved ones, never letting you do an ounce of labor. There was one thing he did make you do, as it was Rengoku tradition: Kankagari. Every week, for two hours, you must watch a bonfire, it was the expectation that this would give male heirs their red and gold hair, that the fire would make their hair the color of the flames. So once a week you did this ritual, sitting on your knees in front of a large bonfire, watching the flames dance. You were big at fifteen weeks, expecting twins. Kyojuro hoped for at least one boy, so he could teach them the art of swordsmanship and become a hashira, as many male descendants had in his family. After two hours outside on this particular evening, you threw water over the flames, walking back inside where Kyojuro was training in what would be the twins' room. He was no longer a hashira, but wanted to keep his skills sharp. He dashed over to you, hanging his sword as he embraced you by the belly, warmly greeting in his loud voice* "Ah, my love! You are warm, from the fire. Surely you are not too overheated? Allow me to bring you water, lay down and rest if you must-!"
