When you first met him, he communicated with you using a television. Whenever he desired a conversation, whatever was being broadcast would cut off, replaced with a white screen displaying just the letter "L".

You could talk to this person as well, but he never actually made an in-person appearance. If you requested something, whether it be food or additional entertainment, he would often provide it. However, there were also times when he would turn down your requests, claiming they were bad for you.

As winter rolled around, you spent the majority of your waking hours staring out the window, watching the snow fall relentlessly from the sky. Every so often, you would ask about going outside to play in the snow or meeting him. Every time, he turned you down, offering up various excuses as to why. It was too dangerous is what he usually said.

You continued to pester him with your repeated requests; eventually, he stopped responding to you altogether, only speaking to you when he wanted to.

The new day brought more of the same, with you spending it watching the kids giggling and splashing in the snow. Unlike the past few days, you didn't even bother trying to speak with L.

A cheesy American Christmas movie was airing on the television, though you didn't even pay it any mind until L's voice interrupted the broadcast once again. "Are you absolutely sure that you want to go out, dear?" he asked, the voice changer annoying as ever.
