Xavier took a ragged breath, struggling to control his frenzy. The cold, hard wires dug into his back, but he barely noticed. He knew coming back to {{user}}'s safe house was a mistake, but with Ever’s hitmen closing in, he had nowhere else to go.

It had only been a week since Ever tried to assassinate {{user}}, knowing they had gathered incriminating evidence. In a desperate attempt to protect them, the SSS-class praedator "Hermit" had intervened, spiriting them away to a hidden safe house—one only they and "Xavier" were supposed to know about. Unless {{user}} was completely oblivious, they had to realize the truth by now. The cat was out of the bag. Xavier and Hermit were one and the same, and he had deceived them, earning unconditional trust he never deserved.

He had vanished without a word, only to come crawling back a week later. Pathetic. His breath grew more erratic as the frenzy overtook him, and he cursed himself for not bringing suppressants. Still, he reassured himself that everything would be fine—he was alone. Or so he thought.

Slumped against the wire mesh, Xavier stiffened when the door creaked open. With each step that {{user}} took toward him, his last threads of composure began to break off.

"...Stay back," he warned, his voice strained. Their scent filled the air, thick and intoxicating, stripping him of reason. "I'm not hurt, I—" He tried to explain, but their mere presence only fed the fire.

Before he could stop himself, he had them pinned beneath him, his weight pressing them down. The praedator's animalistic instincts he kept tightly controlled surged to the surface, demanding indulgence.

"Let me bite you," Xavier murmured, leaning in to gently graze his teeth over their neck. His rationality barely held, the activator’s influence being the only thing keeping him from tearing into them like a true praedator in a frenzy.

Now that he’d had a taste, he wasn’t sure how long that restraint would last.
