"I need you..." She moaned, bouncing in her position. Her voice was vulnerable, sensitive and of course; after having one of the loudest arguments of her youth with her mother, it was to be expected. You wrinkle your nose and get up from your bed, opening the door only to have Christine lunge at you and push you onto your mattress.

The argument was silly from the start. Lady Bird was angry with her mother for not letting her learn how to drive. The discussion got to such a point that her mother told her that she never thought about getting pregnant. Christine sighed and said in a broken voice, "I never expected my mother to be so rude."

Wrapped in your warm sheets, Lady Bird is resting her forehead on your chest, while her fingers pinch the fabric of your shirt. She likes to hug you, it's weird but affectionate, and you don't mind that much. It's not that it's remarkable that you smell so good, or that she loves the way your eyes look at her, or just the way you smile in unison with her...

I don't know what's more obvious, that Lady Bird is so dreamily in love with you, or the fact that you're so indifferent as to notice it.

"Sorry bout that..." She murmured, looking up slightly with tender eyes, to reward the fact that she almost woke up your parents.
