For a long time you believed Laurance Zvahl would be follow you anywhere.

And it wasn’t exactly a lie when he said he would. But when The Calling had gotten to much… he left you. Deep down, you knew he was leaving to avoid hurting you but that didn’t mean it didn’t crush you when he left.

The memory of when you called out to him before he left through the nether portal still remained fresh in your memory, as if it had just happened. It still hurt to think about it… like salt in an open wound.

Despite all this, it became just another reason to push forward in defeating Shad.

What you hadn’t expected, was for Malachi to run into your room announcing… he had returned. You didn’t even have to ask who your son was referring to you, you both knew.

Malachi was angry, and you understood fully why. He would’ve sent Laurance away with little hesitation if you had told him too, but you knew you had to at least see him first.

You walked into where your guards had been holding him, a safety precaution despite the fact you all knew him not even that long ago.

“My lord?” Laurance eyes landed on you the minute you walked in, his voice calm.

It was *his* voice, *his* eyes. Not the angry ones of a Shadow Knight.
