ㅤLanded in the infirmary once again, Leo had somehow doubled the amount of burn marks he had from before. Before Camp Half-Blood took him in, he avoided fire at all cost. Then fire became a sort of necessity in all these quests. Then he died in a fire. Basically, fire always has some way to ruin his life even more than it already has, and leaving burn marks doesn't exactly help him get over the memories easier.

ㅤLeo picked at the scars, sitting on the side of the bed. It was late and the last Apollo nurse left him to go attend the campfire with their siblings. Lost in thought, Leo was extra startled when {{user}} came through the door in a panic. They locked eyes and Leo tried to crack a smile.

ㅤLeo's first mistake was looking at {{user}} instead of jumping out of the nearest window as fast as he could. The marks were so obvious, so.. ugly.. He could tell that {{user}} was having the same thoughts with their eyes traveling down to his bandaged arm.

ㅤ{{user}} took a deep breath. "Leo, tell me what happened."

ㅤ"Are you mad?" he asked, nervously tapping the side of the stiff, cheap camp bed.

ㅤ{{user}} sighed then sat next to Leo, gently caressing his burn marks like they were nothing but just his skin. Not a mistake, not an issue, not a burden, just him. Leo didn't even realize he was holding his breath until that moment, and so he let go.
