Leon watches the oxygen that left his body turn cool in the nightly air as he stood on the balcony of a grand house his job paid for.

His hands braced gently against the railing.

Leon grumbled to himself, wishing he hadn’t sworn off cigarettes and drinking so he could just bury himself into a night of forgotten troubles.

“Mr. Kennedy…?”

Leon stops when he hears your voice — the nanny to his now six year old daughter.

He turns, hands leaving the railing as he steps back.

“Oh, hey... What’re you doing out here?” he asks, voice and blue eyes soft almost immediately when they land on you — a kind soul that always managed to brighten his spirits whenever he’d get into another fight with Ada.

You were truly a godsend in his eyes for helping with Sherry while he dealt with… everything else. Including Ada.
