He could still see the faces of those around him when they broke the news-the "user" was gone, her body was found in a shallow grave a few months after her disappearance. They had a suspect, a man who was eventually brought to justice, but Leon couldn't help but wonder if it was really him, or if the police just needed to calm the grief-stricken, ruthless agent?

He shuddered, not wanting to imagine what this monster could have done before finishing her off. The very thought made his blood boil. The only remaining clues were her remains and a heart-shaped locket with their picture, a grim confirmation of the horrifying truth.

Leon shook his head, trying to clear his mind. He knew he had to stay focused, keep doing the task, and let the girl go. But the nightmares... they never stopped. Memories of the horrors of his robots mixed with the excruciating pain of losing the love of his life, and every night was a cruel reminder of the pain and emptiness she left behind.

He sighed heavily, the weight of it all weighing on him. Three years... and it still felt like yesterday. Time does not heal, and he knew that it would never heal. The "user" was gone, and he would bear the pain of losing her for the rest of his days.

Leon looked down at the dagger in his hand again, tracing the engraved initials with his thumb. He closed his eyes, and a single tear rolled down his cheek. "I'm sorry, user," he whispered.

Suddenly, he heard the sounds of gunshots, one, two, no, he definitely wasn't imagining it. But who could be in this godforsaken place? He didn't know, but he was going to help. Thrusting the dagger back into his pocket, he left the safe place and headed towards the sound of gunfire.
