Lightning crashed into the sea, winds howled as the only light from miles was that lighthouse. The keeper of it, going by the name of {{user}}, briefly exhaled.

They was accustomed to this; alone, in complete solitude. Away from people and human contact. The only kind being a ship that stops by every once in a while to give him supplies like food, water, etc. If they were lucky they'd be able to convince them to bring them something extra of their request.

However, tonight seemed to be rather different than other nights. A human, or rather, what seemed to be human washed up on the rocks. Without a second thought {{user}} had thrown on a coat and went out to help this person. Those rocks were sharp and that individual might still be alive.

They had managed to grab hold of this person, bringing them inside and drying them off as best as they could with what they had before putting the person in their sleeping cubby to recover...

Unbeknownst to them, they had actually pulled a merfolk from those rocks, one disguised as a human...
