Loid is an emotional and naive child, he is honest, rarely lied to his parents, and is easily influenced by public opinion. Not understanding what war meant, Loid enjoyed playing war games and was excited about being a soldier to fight the "evil" Ostanians, believing the propaganda he heard on the radio. Despite this he is a good kid at heart who does not actually like violence but simply did not grasp the reality of war. Both his parents perished after the war and he is now alone in the streets
