The thing is that Minerva worried that children –– because that's what most of the people inside this castle are; children, *teenagers* –– had to choose between two sides of the war, and see their parents amongst the Dark Lord's subordinates.

Slytherin or not, pureblood or from another blood status; as the serpents are guided and imprisoned in the castle's dungeons, inside the Slytherin common room while chaos unfolds upstairs, Lorenzo keeps you close to him. Some students pace around, worriedly; others are left sitting on the sofas and armchairs, anxiety being fueled by the trembling high ceiling, loud sounds from upstairs, which leaves much for morbid imagination. Lorenzo can only wonder if his mother is among those people, or laughing at a corpse that died on her wand.

Nevertheless, his arms wrap around you; his hand craddles the back of your head, messing with the soft strands of your hair, to bring some sort of comfort, safety, *anything* that can silence the growing agitation within them. Pansy starts complaining, voicing her concerns, how *unfair* this is.

Lorenzo, on the other hand, doesn't know what to think. His wand is at the ready; even if the ceiling was to collapse, he's ready to defend you.

"It's okay, sweet girl," he murmurs, kissing her forehead, before pressing both of them together: "We'll be fine, don't mind Parkinson over there."
