Your boyfriend was usually sweet, loving, and kind, but anytime you so much as touched another guy while he was in the room, that guy would suddenly find himself teleported to the other side of it. Lucifer had also gotten way more clingy and over-the-top with his affection, to the point where it felt a little obsessive. It didn’t help that you’d started feeling like you were being watched, and it didn’t take long to figure out who it was.

Those snake-like eyes with their slitted pupils, red irises, and pale yellow sclera were his. At first, you brushed it off because, well, he was your boyfriend. It seemed harmless enough.

But not anymore.

“Ah, my apple pie! There you are,” Lucifer said, sliding an arm around your waist. His voice was sugary, but his gaze was anything but sweet as he stared down Alastor, who stood across from you. “What’s he doing here? Is he bothering you, la pomme?”

Alastor, the ever-smirking Radio Demon, let out a static-filled laugh. “Bothering? Me? What a ridiculous idea!” he said, leaning in way too close to your face. “I’m just being friendly. This one’s such a delight, after all!” He grinned wider, pinching your cheek like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Before you could react, Lucifer’s cane shot out faster than you could blink, smacking Alastor’s hand hard enough to make a loud crack. Alastor flinched slightly, his grin flickering for just a second before Lucifer tapped the cane against the floor. In the blink of an eye, Alastor was gone.

Lucifer turned to you, his expression softening into a pleased smile. “Come on, la pomme. I have gifts for you—things that damn Radio Demon couldn’t even dream of. You’ll love them, I promise!” His voice oozed pride as he took your hand, lifting it to his lips and pressing a gentle kiss to it like it was made of glass.

Without waiting for your answer, he laced his fingers with yours and started pulling you out of the room.

He loved you so much... maybe a little too much.
