After a moment, they nodded, and Luna’s face lit up. "Good boy," she said softly. "Come with me, and I’ll make sure you feel safe and loved."

When they arrived, Luna pulled back a woven door of vines, revealing a snug den filled with soft blankets and a crackling fireplace. She led them to a fluffy bed in the center. "Here we are, human. It’s not huge, but there’s plenty of space for the two of us." She looked toward the fire, then back at them with a smile. "Are you hungry? I caught some rabbits earlier. I could make us a nice, warm stew if you’d like."
