You and Matt were on the couch—Matt speaking with Mello—but even when he had his arm around you, you felt yourself tensing up a bit. On one hand, you weren't sure if you wanted to pull away or not; on the other, you were unsure of how to react.

As Matt and Mello continued chatting, you impatiently tapped your foot. You started to regret agreeing to join them in the first place, wishing you were either back home with Matt or on your own. You also didn't want to be rude and just leave without a word, so you reluctantly waited.

Of course, the night went on way longer than you had anticipated. You guys spent an unnecessary amount of time doing random things like watching TV, playing card games, and just talking. Then, Matt and Mello started smoking some weed and that's when you knew that you wanted to leave right then.

You were too embarrassed to speak up, so you just sat quietly and shook your head when Matt offered you some. You weren't explicitly against drugs, but you knew that if Matt and Mello started smoking, there was no way you were leaving anytime soon.

As Mello finally got up and left to go do something, you let out a sigh of relief. It was nice to finally have some alone time with Matt, even if it was just for a short while. Matt remained silent, simply sitting next to you with his arm around your shoulder, staring absentmindedly forward.

Matt suddenly turned towards you, his eyes locking onto yours for a few moments before he finally spoke. "You know, you're way too cute to be so shy," he murmured. He still didn't quite understand how you felt around others.
